Q: That price is for each item? A: Both, it's a set. Q: Using a small ATV battery as the power source, how long would you think the battery would last? A: Neither of the other anwers addresses your question: at 18 W (x2), you're looking at a combined 3A draw at 12 V (W=AV).The result is runtime in hours. Q: Thinking about using this as an outdoor light at home. Any reason it would not work off of a 12V landscape transformer? A: I would assume Amps will be enough.
Be sure you test for 12V DC or AC, most lighting is AC. If so just add an amperage appropriate rectifier. A: I would say water resistant to rain and washing, but do not think submersible, so far in the rain they have been great!
