These reinforced extended strut fork replace the factory clevis at the bottom of your strut. Installation is as simple as removing the lower strut bolt, loosening the strut clamp bolt, sliding your factory forks out, and replacing them with these new stronger, longer units. Yes, the spacers are Teflon Coated and will never lose its finish. Anodized aluminum kits will change color over time. Painted or powder coated steel chips and takes out chunks of the finish.
However, Teflon resists all of the elements plus gives you a hard coating that is scratch resistant and will last forever. DO I NEED LONGER SHOCKS FOR THIS KIT? Longer shocks are not required with this kit.
The dealer recommends that you replace your shocks every 50,000 miles. If you haven't done so yet, it is recommended to replace it all at the same time.
